Who is this course for?

Operators who will be appointed to sling and signal to overhead cranes in the workplace.

To teach the slinger to safely sling and signal to cranes of various types to LOLER standards.

To state the legal requirement for selection & training operators
To explain the requirements of the Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)
To state where they may be requirements under the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
To highlight the need for pre-use inspection, and cover the defects that commonly occur in lifting tackle
To show the approved signaling methods
To encourage the use of safe working practices
