WELCOME TO ANGLIA SKILLS ACADEMY

Anglia Skills Academy is dedicated to providing the essential skills required for those working in the construction industry and the offshore installation industry, primarily those based in East Anglia.

With a work base in Hopton, the Company is ideally situated to accommodate delegates from the busy ports of Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.  Both towns have a high unemployment rate and suffer a lack of skilled and qualified workers in these industries. Our aim is to train local people who are willing to work but lack the skills and qualifications required to attract employers.

We are also dedicated to working in partnership with other agencies with a view to rehabilitating ex-offenders by providing them with the necessary skills for gainful employment and steering them away from a criminal life pattern.

The Directors, Ken Gibbs and Merv Middleton are both natives of Great Yarmouth and have lived and worked in the town all their lives. Ken has worked with construction and offshore fabrication companies in his blasting and painting business, while Merv has many years experience in training.
